After hours of 'painful' yet,
'exciting' tro-tro ride, I arrived in Tamole, the capital of the
Northern Region.
I failed to understand why many tourists claim it is a beautiful and fun city? It is dry, windy, dusty, dirty, chaotic, and polluted with an unbearable heat.
It is as living in a desert region (Arizona) with no basic ventilation system. The cold water from the shower is in fact, hot. A young Ghanaian I met in the hostel who just arrived from Accra thinks it is really ‘too hooot.’
However, under a great providence, I eye witnessed African democracy in action at a locale level. The former President Rollings arrived in Tamale.
